Darrin’s story began in his parents’ retail uniform store, where he worked alongside them serving nurses and restaurant staff. Over time, nurses started asking if they could also get durable medical equipment, as it was something their patients needed but struggled to access. That single request is what sparked Darrin’s path into the DME industry.
As more people came looking for equipment, that side of the business grew so much that uniforms were eventually phased out completely. With that growth, sales reps began visiting often and asking Darrin for his opinion on their products. He was honest about where he found issues and gave direct feedback on how those products could be improved.
After many years of improving other companies’ products from the outside, Darrin made the decision to start creating his own. Instead of fixing what others made, he wanted to build equipment the right way from the start — shaped by real needs, real conversations, and real experience.
